Opening evening with Winfried Muthesius on Landshut Art Night, 07/09/18
How is that possible? What does that actually mean, the escape of the visible into the invisible? Jörg W. Ludwig of LAProjects had something in mind when he borrowed Rilke’s phrase for this very exhibition. In his creative working processes, Muthesius succeeds in transporting that which we actually experience to a higher level; a level which, although not immediately recognisable, is all the more memorable for it.
If one follows the artist along his paths of abstraction, a realisation, a perspective, a wake-up call, an appeal, suddenly emerges in the intangible abstract. In each case, something that has grown out of the condensate of past experiences and the current challenges of our time.
It starts tomorrow. Muthesius himself will be there, and you can watch him at work. We’re excited!
